Dr. Grant Ingrams - Health Care Leader and Community Advocate

Leicestershire resident Dr. Grant Ingrams leads the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Local Medical Committee as chief executive. He also manages Oakmeadow Surgery in Leicester as a partner. Dr. Grant Ingrams’ career has included general practice, charitable service, and media engagement.

Dr. Ingrams has worked with various charitable and community groups. While serving with the Scout Association, he was an assistant cub leader for 2nd Thundersley Scout Group before joining the executive committee at 1st Nuneaton Scout Group. He also served as a trustee for Action for Tinnitus Research and as an advisor for Deafness Research UK.

Dr. Ingrams has also established a significant media presence, appearing on national platforms to discuss relevant industry topics. BBC Breakfast, Sky News, and the British Medical Association are among the TV programs that have featured him in their broadcasts. His radio work includes appearances on BBC Radio 4’s "Today” program.

He has also authored multiple published works that address key issues in the medical field, such as health care technology, clinical governance, and patient care. In addition, he has published articles on medical staffing, surgical techniques, and clinical case studies.

Dr. Ingrams has received many awards recognizing his contributions in medicine and health care tech. These honours include fellowships by the British Computer Society and the Faculty of Clinical Informatics for his contributions to IT, and a Crystal Award from the General Practitioners Committee West Midlands for his expert knowledge, diplomatic skills, and dedicated service to general practitioners.
